Where Stars, Stories & Street Vibes Collide: Chef Byron Gomez x Phuc Yea

There are dinners… and then there are moments—the kind that redefine flavor, bring creative titans together, and leave you talking about it for months. On Thursday, August 14th, Phuc Yea is delivering one of those nights.

Chef Cesar Zapata, our fearless Viet-Latin flavor king, is teaming up with none other than Chef Byron Gomez of Michelin-starred BRUTØ in Denver for a one-night-only culinary collision that’s guaranteed to be unforgettable.

This isn’t just a dinner. It’s a collision of cultures, craft, and charisma. Chef Byron—Top Chef alum, Eleven Madison Park vet, and the first Costa Rican chef to earn a Michelin star—is joining forces with Chef Cesar, Miami’s own pioneer of unapologetically bold Vietnamese fusion. The two will be cooking side-by-side, each presenting two dishes per course across a four-course tasting menu that will blow your palate out of the water.

To kick it all off? A welcome cocktail featuring Reserva de la Familia Tequila (yes, the official tequila of the Michelin Guide). You can elevate the night even further with the Premium Pairing ($75) curated by agave whisperer Yani Ramos, whose resume includes Alinea and Noma Tulum. Expect tequila-forward pairings that don’t just match the menu—they enhance the entire vibe.

Pre-purchase your ticket until Sunday August 10 for $109 plus T&T.

Monday onwards, tickets are $129 plus T&T. Space is tight. The flavor? Limitless.

But wait—don’t bounce after dessert. Slide into the Mi Chini Cocktail Lounge right after dinner, just downstairs, for that sultry, late-night magic. Whether you’re vibing to vinyl or catching a curated DJ set, Mi Chini is where the afterglow happens. Sip something smooth, soak in the energy, and keep the night going.

Oh, and did we mention? Every guest gets an exclusive swag box filled with signed mementos from both chefs—because legends don’t send you home empty-handed.

🔥 TL;DR: This is your once-in-a-lifetime chance to see two culinary trailblazers break bread, share stories, and throw down in the kitchen together. Only at Phuc Yea. Only in Miami. Only on August 14.  Book now on OpenTable. Because seats are limited—and this kind of magic doesn’t wait.
